Andrew Carpenter earned his bachelor of science degree from Arizona State University in Aerospace Engineering. As an undergraduate he worked at the ASU Unsteady Wind Tunnel performing boundary layer stability experiments on flat plates and swept wings. He also has experience performing flight tests on an F-15 aircraft at NASA Dryden and supersonic wind tunnel experiments at NASA Langley under the Quiet Supersonic Platform program.

Andrew is also a Private pilot and glider pilot with 300 hours of flight time. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering and his A&P mechanics license.
