The Flight Research Laboratory (FRL) is a part of the Aerospace Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. It offers both flight testing and wind tunnel testing services. Hangar 1091, near the General Aviation facilities at Easterwood Airport, is the flight services home base. Directly across the street is the Wind Tunnel Complex housing six world-class facilities including the National Aerothermochemistry Laboratory, Klebanoff-Saric Unsteady Wind Tunnel and the NASA-Langley Mach 6 Quiet Tunnel, which are operated by FRL personnel.
The FRL is directed by William Saric and is supported by an A&P Mechanic, several graduate and undergraduate students, test pilots and affiliated faculty. For a complete listing of FRL employees and affiliates, see the Personnel link at the left of page.
